Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster Open Top V12 Hybrid Debuts

The Lamborghini Fenomeno Roadster puts the biggest, most complex 12 cylinder in a convertible package.

Automobili Lamborghini has officially introduced its latest “Few-Off” model, the Fenomeno Roadster, during the second edition of the Lamborghini Arena at Imola. Developed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, this two-seater open-top super sports car is a direct evolution of the Fenomeno Coupé first presented in 2025.

Production is strictly limited to 15 units worldwide, maintaining the brand’s strategy of offering highly exclusive, collectible masterpieces to a select group of clients.

Engine and Performance Specifications

The Fenomeno Roadster is powered by a V12 hybrid powertrain that delivers a combined maximum output of 1080PS. This output establishes it as the most powerful open-top model ever produced by the Sant’Agata Bolognese manufacturer.

Key technical highlights include:

  • Powertrain: A mid-mounted naturally aspirated V12 engine integrated with a hybrid system.
  • Performance: The vehicle utilizes motorsport-inspired technical solutions to manage high-speed stability and cooling requirements inherent in an open-top configuration.
  • Design Architecture: The Roadster features an innovative carbon fiber chassis designed to maintain structural rigidity without the presence of a traditional roof.

Positioning Within the Lamborghini Lineup

The Fenomeno Roadster occupies a specific niche known as the “Few-Off” series. These models sit above the series-production cars like the Revuelto and Temerario, serving as both ultra-exclusive collectibles and mobile laboratories for future technology.

This lineage of V12 Few-Off models began with the Reventón Roadster in 2009 and has included iconic predecessors such as the Veneno (2013), Centenario (2016), and Sián (2019). The Fenomeno Roadster continues this tradition of testing stylistic and technical solutions—such as advanced hybridization and aerodynamic features—that may eventually influence future flagship production models.

Competitive Landscape

In the broader automotive market, the Fenomeno Roadster competes in the elite “ultra-high-performance open-top” segment. Its primary competition includes:

  • Ferrari Daytona SP3: Another limited-run “Icona” series model that focuses on naturally aspirated V12 purity and heritage design.
  • Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider: A more track-focused rival that also utilizes a high-output V12 hybrid system, though with a heavier emphasis on F1-derived aerodynamics.
  • Pagani Utopia Roadster: A competitor that emphasizes bespoke craftsmanship and a traditional V12 experience, albeit without the hybrid integration found in the Lamborghini.
