Sime Motors Launches Malaysia’s First Zero-Waste Tyre Recycling Programme
Sime Motors has launched Malaysia’s first structured zero-waste tyre recycling programme, further cementing its commitment to sustainability and environmental leadership. Rolled out in collaboration with Evergreen Corporate Sdn. Bhd., this initiative officially begins on 1 July 2025 and will be implemented across all Sime Motors dealerships in Peninsular Malaysia.
The programme marks a milestone in the Malaysian automotive industry as the first of its kind by a retail automotive group. It aims to drastically reduce the environmental impact of end-of-life tyres by leveraging a fully closed-loop recycling system that achieves 100% material recovery.

Under the new initiative, used tyres collected from Sime Motors’ network—servicing brands like BMW, MINI, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, BYD, Denza, Drivecare and Auto Selection—will be transported to Evergreen Corporate’s high-tech facility. There, they will undergo Advanced Thermal Recovery Green Technology, converting tyre waste into reusable resources such as carbon black, recovered steel, and fuel oil, all while keeping harmful emissions to a minimum.
Evergreen Corporate, recently awarded the ESG Gold rating by MARC (Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad), is widely recognised for its commitment to sustainable practices and technological innovation. CEO Wan Afif Azizul and Co-Founder Kwang Meng Kian highlighted the partnership’s importance for advancing Malaysia’s green economy with a solution that is clean, scalable, and future-ready.
