Jetour G700 PHEV SUV Is Coming To Malaysia Soon

The Jetour G700 is built on the new GAIA off-road platform and features hybrid technology, advanced off-road capabilities, and high-end interior amenities like a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen and an 18-speaker Lexicon audio system.

Designed to rival the Fangchengbao 5 (also named Denza 5) and Tank 300, it will be launched in Malaysia very soon.

The G700 is a full-size, plug-in hybrid luxury SUV with significant off-road capabilities. It was first teased as the Shanhai T7 concept in 2024 and officially unveiled in China in January 2025 under the new Zongheng sub-brand.

Since its global brand launch in 2019, the JETOUR brand has sold over 1.93 million vehicles across 91 countries and regions and this include Malaysia where sales are moving upwards fast.

The brand has developed a diverse product portfolio, with models like the X70 gaining international recognition and achieving cumulative sales exceeding 960,000 units.

The DASHING SUV model has received numerous international accolades, including the titles of “Best Midsize SUV” in Saudi Arabia, “Recomendados Autocosmos 2024” in Chile, and “Best Design” in Egypt.

The G700 was officially launched in the UAE on September 10, 2025, following an earlier reveal in China in April 2025.

Platform and powertrain: The SUV is built on the new GAIA (Gimbal Off-road Chassis) intelligent architecture, which supports advanced hybrid and off-road technologies. It is powered by a hybrid system with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and electric motors, producing up to 760hp and 795Nm of torque.

Off-road capability: Key off-road features include a wading depth of 900mm, 350mm maximum ground clearance, and a dedicated chassis with adjustable suspension travel. The G700’s cabin blends rugged practicality with luxury and advanced technology.

Displays: Drivers are greeted by a 35.4-inch panoramic digital instrument cluster, while the infotainment is controlled via a 15.6-inch touchscreen.

Rear entertainment: Higher-end trims include a 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen and optional features like an in-vehicle refrigerator.

Comfort: Seating can be configured in 6-seat (2+2+2) or 7-seat layouts, and features like seat ventilation, massage functions, and a Lexicon audio system are available.

Safety features: The vehicle is equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.

Luxury features: The interior is designed for comfort with a 17.3-inch rear HD entertainment screen, an 8.88-inch climate control touchscreen, a 900W, 18-speaker Lexicon audio system, and multi-function massage seats.

Market positioning: Jetour is positioning the G700 as its first premium hybrid off-road model to enter the international market, targeting the premium SUV segment.

Future availability: The G700 is expected to be available in other markets, with some reports suggesting its arrival in Malaysia is likely
