Perodua Sends First Shipment Of QV-E To East Malaysia Following Price Revision

Following the recent price revision, the Perodua QV-E is now on its way to East Malaysia.

In a major step toward democratizing national electric mobility, the first shipment of Perodua QV-E units is officially on its way to East Malaysia. This initial maritime deployment brings Perodua’s pioneer all-electric sportback crossover closer to eager customers across Sabah and Sarawak.

The vehicle is expected to be physically available on the ground from 15 July 2026. Starting on that date, customers in East Malaysia can visit selected authorized Perodua EV showrooms to explore the high-tech model in person, take it for a comprehensive test drive, and place their official bookings.

By expanding physical vehicle access to East Malaysia, Perodua ensures that its homegrown electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem serves motorists nationwide, matching the vehicle’s structural release schedule to growing charging networks in the region.

Major Localisation Shifts Drive Direct Price Drops

Paralleling its geographic expansion, Perodua has announced a massive structural revision to the pricing of the QV-E. Following a significant localization push that heavily optimized manufacturing efficiency, the national automaker is passing the financial benefits directly back to Malaysian car buyers via a substantial retail price drop.

Ongoing monthly battery lease costRM215 inclusive of taxes

In line with the national rollout, Perodua’s limited-time promotional rebate of RM6,500 is in place. Effective immediately and valid until 30 September 2026, drivers can purchase the vehicle under two simplified ownership structures.

New Outright Ownership Plan vs. Revised BAAS Options

1. Outright Purchase (Battery Included)

For drivers who prefer traditional car ownership without ongoing monthly subscriptions, the QV-E can now be purchased completely outright. Under the current promotional campaign, the outright purchase price is sliced down to RM87,499 (reverting to a standard retail price of RM93,999 after September 30). This single-unit invoice grants full, unencumbered ownership of both the vehicle chassis and its 52.5 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, completely removing any recurring subscription elements.

2. Revised Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) Options

For buyers looking to secure the lowest possible upfront entry cost, Perodua’s innovative Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) model remains highly active but receives an aggressive financial discount:

  • The Body-Only Price: Under the promotional banner, the BAAS variant drops to an incredibly accessible RM63,499 (standardized at RM69,999 outside of the promotional window).
  • Reduced Monthly Subscription: To ease public adoption hurdles, the recurring 9-year monthly battery lease rate has been systematically slashed to RM215 per month (inclusive of relevant taxes), down from the original RM275 launch baseline.

Crucially, Perodua is applying this monthly lease reduction retroactively. Existing QV-E customers will automatically see their monthly BAAS subscription lowered to the new RM215 rate starting on their very next billing cycle.
