0VW’s Concept Roadster To Be Shared With Porsche and Audi
Porsche and Audi will be using the concept VW Roadster shown last year as their planned new generation roadsters. Both Porsche and Audi will reveal individual exterior styling. Audi’s roadster will take its inspiration from the techno-look of the E-tron Spyder concept. On the other hand, the Porsche roadster will take its design cues from the classic racer the 550 Spyder, which was launched in 1953. The 550 Spyder won several races for the company in its time and this new version could span a race series of its own. Volkswagen is a volume car maker and so it’s only appropriate that its roadster will have styling that’s inspired by its present car range. There will be different interiors for each of these cars, reflecting the instrument panel architectures and molding shapes that are also featured in the models that these companies have recently released. The main instrument binnacle and dials of each brand’s roadster will be unique. The minor switchgear for each model will also be different. The cabins of the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and Volkswagen Touareg SUVs are different from each other too. The companies exerted a lot of effort on making sure that the new engines of the new Audi, Porsche and Volkswagen roadsters have their own character.
