GT RADIAL SPONSORS GYMKHANA AUTO-X ROUND 1 IN SEPANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT
In conjunction with the launching of the GT Radial Champiro SX2 held in Sepang International Circuit, manufacturer PT Gajah Tunggal Tbk, the largest integrated tire manufacturer in ASEAN, proudly sponsored the inaugural Gymkhana Auto X Series 2013 held at the paddock parking of the circuit.
Scheduled to have three more events this year, GAS 2013 round 1 had seven of Malaysia’s top Gymkhana drivers competing on GT Radial Champiro SX2.With front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive categories up for grabs, this series organized by Sync Optima Sdn Bhd had the tires phenomenal control and grip put into its paces which was a definite advantage in this genre of motorsports.
The media and invited guest whom already had first-hand experience driving cars fitted with the GT Radial Champiro SX2 tires during the Ride and Drive session earlier in the day, were also treated to thrilling circuit hot laps piloted by GT Radial tires sponsored circuit drivers competing at the MegaLap Time Attack Round 2 held at the circuit. This premier time attack series, which coincides with the launch, is considered the perfect platform to show case the tire capabilities as the street tire category, where the Champiro SX2 is placed under, is known to be the most fiercely contested. GT Radials sponsorship of 10 circuit racers for this event is the testament of their commitment and confidence of the superiority of the GT Radial Champiro SX2 tyres.
