1Triumph Speed Triple R 2014 Model Unveiled
British Motorcycle manufacturer Triumph has unveiled the 2014 Triumph Speed Triple R with a few tweaks. Though there are no engine or power upgrades with the iconic roadster continuing to crank out 133 horses from its 1050cc three cylinder engine, the new Speed Triple R gets a switchable Anti-Lock Braking System as standard which earlier on the 2013 model was offered as optional at extra cost.
Also there have been no changes to the frame with the new Triple R being held together by the same chassis as on the 2013 model clad with Öhlins componentry. The enhancements on the motorcycle have majorly been in form of colours. The 2014 Triumph Speed Triple R gets a new colour scheme of Matt Crystal White replacing the Caspian White shade on the 2013 edition alongwith a new Phantom Black Version.
The wheels are treated with pin-stripes in red and so does the radiator which now sports a cover draped in a similar shade. Also the fly-screen gets a matching colour that has been further extended to the belly pan and the seat cowl. Other minor changes include a clear lens tail light and a blacked out exhaust shield. The 2014 Speed Triple R now sports cast aluminium wheels instead of forged ones on the outgoing variant.
