Ford Falcon Wins The V8 Supercars At Darwin
Scott McLaughlin in his Ford Falcon has won Race 12 at Hidden Valley this weekend. McLaughlin beat Holden’s Jamie Whincup by almost two and a half seconds to grab the 150 points on offer for the winner.
Whincup with his 138 points won the start from pole sitter McLaughlin when he entered turn one in front and maintained a two or three car buffer on the Penskey car until his first compulsory pit stop after 16 laps.
But McLaughlin’s No.17 car was always within arm’s reach of Whincup, finally catching the Red Bull Commodore on the 40th lap when the six-time series champion made his second pit stop. Shane in his Holden came in at a close 3rd taking in 129 points.
