BMW Malaysia Debuts the All-New X7 for RM888,800
The X7 is an all-new entry from the company. Little has been changed from the concept that was brought to Bangsar Shopping Centre last year.
It’s a 7-seater extra large luxury SUV that shares some design features with the 7-Series like the large kidney grille and the use of chrome around the air breathers. The vehicle is 5 metres long, 2 metres wide and has a wheelbase of 3.105 metres.
It too is powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder petrol engine with 340hp and 450Nm of torque with an 8-speed Steptronic transmission sending power to all four wheels. And in spite of its size, it still gets from 0-100km/h in just 6.1 seconds. BMW have fitted it with active anti-roll stabilisation and Dynamic Damper Control.
The X7 comes with two-axle air suspension which allows for suspension adjustment up to 80mm with 5 different height settings. An electric compressor allows for control over each individual wheel.
Driver assistance systems include:
- Evasion Aid
- Crossroads Warning with City Brake Activation
- Steering and Lane Control Assistant
- Parking Assistant
- Reversing Assistant
They’re outfitted with 21″ light alloy wheels as standard.
The interior features similar highlight as the new 7. You get Live Cockpit Professional with BMW Operating System 7.0 and a 12.3″ instrument cluster AND Control Display touchscreen. BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant (for voice control) and BMW Gesture Control is present on these cars as well. Its Panorama Roof Sky Lounge is complemented with an LED lighting scenario for a business-class feel.
But the highlight of the interior of the X7 the “Crafted Clarity” handmade diamond-cut glass application around parts like the gear selector.
The cars will be in BMW showrooms on the 19th of July in Peninsular Malaysia and on the 26th of July in East Malaysia.
