Winning Weekend for Audi Sport Customers in Asia
Audi Sport customers have taken an impressive haul of overall race wins, championship victories, class wins and podiums across Asia this weekend.
The glut of silverware came across a weekend that saw over 14 customer racing vehicles entered across five different championships in China and Japan.
It was a weekend to remember for the Audi Sport customer teams at the Pan Delta Racing Festival at China’s Zhuhai International Circuit. David Chen secured two overall victories in the Tianshi Racing Team (TSRT) Audi R8 LMS GT3.
Zun Motorsport Crew’s Ma Ka Chun claimed the Supercar Challenge class title and Champ X T. A Motorsport’s Felipe Souza raced to the TCR championship win in his team’s Audi RS 3 LMS. Meanwhile, X Works Racing’s Philip Tang, Smart Tse and Shaun Thong won the 5 Hours of Motegi in Japan’s Super Taikyu Series.
Adding to the trophy haul, Liqui Moly Team NewFaster’s Terry Huang took a TCR China Series podium to extend his championship lead at the Ningbo International Speedpark in China.
“It’s been a very strong weekend for Audi Sport customers, and we extend our congratulations to them for their three championship victories, three overall race wins and multiple additional podiums and class wins,” said Martin Kuehl, Director of Audi Sport customer racing Asia.
