A Closer Look at the Audi RS Models Available Online
Yesterday, Audi Malaysia launched their online showroom along with the Q3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro. They also announced four RS models would be available in Malaysia through the online showroom. No prices were announced, but they did mention the cars could be customised and ordered by Malaysian customers.
By default, the RS vehicles listed have a few things in common. Firstly, they are all configured without a panoramic glass sunroof. This is justified, as Malaysian weather is not conducive to this equipment piece. Even Proton created a version of the CKD X70 Premium without the sunroof in response to complaints.
Another common thread between the RS models is that they feature RS steel brakes instead ceramic brakes. It’s also worth noting that these cars come with some active driver assist systems on the RS 4 and RS 5 like:
- Audi active lane assist
- Audi pre sense rear and basic
- Lane change assistant with exit warning system and rear cross traffic alert
- Parking aid plus with 360 degree cameras
On the RS 6 and RS 7, you even get Front cross traffic assist and Lane departure warning.

Audi RS 4 Avant

Take the Audi A4, give it a wagon design and soup it up to the max. that’s essentially what you’re getting here. The RS 4 Avant gets a 2.9L V6 bi-turbo engine with direct fuel injection, turbocharging and Audi valvelift system. An 8-speed tiptronic transmission sends 450hp and 600Nm of torque to all wheels via quattro.

RS 5 Sportback

The RS 5 Sportback takes the practicality of a sedan and adds coupé-inspired roofline. It also gets a 2.9L V6 bi-turbo engine with direct fuel injection, turbocharging and Audi valvelift system. An 8-speed tiptronic transmission sends 450hp and 600Nm of torque to all wheels via quattro.
The default rims are: 20″ 5-arm flag style forged alloys in a glossy anthracite black finish

RS 6 Avant
Whether it’s for a business meeting or a family outing, the new Audi RS 6 Avant never compromises. The RS 6 Avant is a high-performance car packed with everyday usabililty and charismatic looks.
The RS 6 Avant builds on the practicality and size of the A6 wagon, but takes performance to new heights thanks to its 4-litre TFSI V8 and quattro. This engine sends 600hp and 800Nm of torque through an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox to all four wheels.
The default rims are: 22″ 5-V-spoke trapezoidal style cast alloys in an anthracite black finish.

The RS 7 Sportback is the ultimate combination of Audi’s exclusive design language and performance. It builds on the A7’s practicality and adds a whole lot of RS to its performance. It also features a 4-litre TFSI V8 and the quattro system on the RS 6, with output at exactly the same (600hp, 800Nm) and an 8-speed tiptronic gearbox is featured here too.
The default rims are 22″ 5-V-spoke structure cast alloy wheels in an anthracite black finish.
