2020 Aprilia Tuono V4 And RSV4 1100 Factory Launched
Didi Resources Sdn Bhd today announced the launch of the 2020 model year Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory and RSV4 1100 Factory. Pricing for both models remain unchanged at RM121,000 for the naked bike and RM159,900 for the flagship superbike. Prices quoted include a two-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
The Tuono V4 is essentially a naked version of the RSV4 but the 1100 Factory trim takes things to a whole new level with impressive standard equipment, which include carbon fibre components that extend to the front mudguard, side panels and engine cover. It also comes with new graphics to match the carbon fibre bits.
Speaking of engine, the Tuono V4 1100 Factory is powered by a 1,077 cc V4 DOHC engine with 175 hp at 11,000 rpm and 121 Nm of torque peaking at 9,000 rpm. The output is governed by the Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) electronics package that consists of traction control, wheelie control, launch control, quick shifter, pit limiter and cornering ABS.
Apart from new looks, the model also gains a fully-adjustable suspension system comprising an Öhlins NIX upside-down fork at the front and an Öhlins TTX single shock absorber at the back, both managed by the Smart EC 2.0 system.
On the other hand, the 2020 RSV4 1100 Factory continues to set the bar in its class with the potent V4 mill that makes 217 hp at 13,200 rpm and 122 Nm of torque at 11,000 rpm. Riders get to choose from three Ride-by-Wire engine mappings (Sport, Race and Track) to suit their needs.
Specs-wise, the model retains the APRC dynamic control system and the fully-adjustable suspension system developed in collaboration with Öhlins. 330 mm front discs, which are clamped by the proven Brembo Stylema four-piston mono-block radial calipers, provide ample stopping power.
The RSV4 1100 Factory comes with 17-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels wrapped in 120/70 and 200/55 tyres. The saddle sits 840 mm from the ground while the fuel tank has a generous capacity of 18.5 litres, contributing to a wet weight of 199 kg.
