BMW E28 525i Should Be Considered Over An E30 Sedan
This is a very desirable classic E28 sports sedan on sale right now.
This morning as we scanned our facebook feed, we stumbled upon this very rare car for sale. This in our humble opinion is one of the best looking classic sports sedans ever and one that if often under appreciated by classic BMW enthusiasts.
In recent years, there has been a lot of emphasis on the same period BMW E30 sedan and coupe and its asking price in the used car market (Malaysian and globally) have gone up a little too much.
The average price for a restored E30 sedan ranges from RM20,000 to RM45,000 (not for the E30 M3 please) and for a coupe (2-door) you might have pay 20 percent more. Yes, they are nice cars and the design is evergreen, but lets now forget this E28 which gave birth to the first ever M5 sports sedan.
Finding a well restored and running ‘sweet’ BMW E28 in Malaysia is not easy as owners of great condition E28’s will hardly ever part with their ‘child’. We have seen many partially restored project E28’s and many rust filled machines with a lot left to be done. Their asking prices hover from RM8,000 to a high RM28,000.
So, when we spotted this restored unit for sale and with pictures showing a lot of effort put into it over the years, we had to share this gem. Yes, we would like to take ownership, but not in this economic climate. Maybe you should. However, best you contact the owner and take a detailed inspection to make sure that this car really is a gem.

Here for sale is my 1983 BMW 525i E28 Automatic. Car has been well maintained and recently restored, 38 years old but feels and drives great. Below are some details:

– Original M30B25 6 Cylinder timing chain Engine

– Genuine mileage only 200K miles
– Recently repainted in BMW Deep Sea Blue Metallic

Interior is in very good condition, leather seats has no damage or cracks.. Original dashboard has been leather wrapped.. Meters, lights, check control panel and all electrics work as they should, even mileage clocking works..
All bushes, mountings , shock absorbers have been replaced in the past years so car feels and drives great with no noises from undercarriage.. Brake pads and hoses replaced..
Recently done Engine service and maintenance including engine oil, spark plugs, brake fluid, gear oil,axle oil, engine mountings and more.. Brand new radiator too.. Car starts and drives with no problems, no overheating or any other issues.
This car is in buy and drive condition and doesnt require any work/time/money to be spent on her.. Asking price is fair considering the condition.. Appreciating classic and getting really hard to find one in good condition..
