Exterior

Exterior changes brought about by the facelifted version include a new bonnet design, super-slim all-LED quad headlights, larger grille, as well as new rear lights and bumper. The headlights are 10 mm slimmer than before and feature ‘Double J’ daytime running lights, which are available with optional Pixel LED technology.

In the R-Dynamic specification, there are Noble Chrome surrounds for the lower air intakes and Dark Techno Satin finishes to the lower bumper area. The front grille tips are finished in Shadow Atlas rather than Noble Chrome and the lower front bumper centre insert is finished in Gloss.

Customers can also opt for a Black Exterior Pack which comprises of Gloss
Black grille, front and rear bumper inserts, side vents, door finishers, window surrounds and unique black rear badging.

Interior

The interior centres on a bolder cockpit design with greater focus on the driver. The focal point here is a new, centrally-mounted 11.4-inch HD touchscreen that provides access to the Pivi Pro infotainment system, aside from Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a new Drive Selector and adjacent to it is a new metallic rotary dial for the JaguarDrive Control.

Accompanying the touchscreen is a 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display with enhanced graphics and a configurable layout which can show full screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn instructions, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details.

The steering wheel is new and influenced by the design in the all-electric I-PACE, while the seats offer wider cushioning and improved functionality for the optional front massage settings and larger heated and cooling areas. Slimline ‘Performance’ seats are also available as option, so is the Cabin Air Ionisation with PM2.5 filtration.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine produces 250 PS and 365 Nm of torque, delivering 0- 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and CO2 emissions from 217g/km with fuel economy of 7.8 L/100 km. An eight-speed automatic transmission is tasked to channel the power to all four wheels.

The new P400e PHEV powertrain produces 404 PS and 640 Nm of torque through a combination of the 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and a 105 kW electric motor. With the same transmission and AWD setup, it can complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 5.3 seconds and achieve up to 2.2 l/100 km of fuel consumption.

The compact electric motor is powered by a 17.1kWh lithium-ion battery located under the boot floor. There are three driving modes, namely EV, Hybrid, which is the default driving mode, and Save.

Technology

The F-PACE also benefits from a selection of advanced driver assistance technology. This includes Clear Exit Monitor, which can alert both front and rear occupants to the presence of an approaching car or cyclist when exiting the vehicle.

In addition, there’s also Adaptive Cruise Control that automatically maintains a set distance from the vehicle in front, and 3D Surround Camera that provides real-time viewing to make manoeuvring easier.

According to the Jaguar Singapore website, the new F-Pace is priced from $401,999 (RM1.2 million). As for Malaysia, there is a very low probability that the SUV will make it here as the official distributor SISMA Auto will reportedly retire its JLR business after 26 years.
