Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario Edition Launched In Malaysia
What better way to celebrate your centenary than by having a special edition model?
Didi Resources has launched the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone Centenario Edition to the Malaysian market, where it is priced at RM72,900. Produced only throughout this year to celebrate the Eagle marque’s 100th anniversary, the V7 Stone Centenario Edition comes in a special colour scheme featuring a satin-finished metal fuel tank and green bodywork.
Powering the V7 Stone Centenario Edition is the latest evolution of the 850 cc, V-twin engine that has 25% more maximum power over the previous version, going from 52 hp at 6,200 rpm to 65 hp at 6,800 rpm. Torque has also increased significantly, from 60 Nm at 4,250 rpm to 73 Nm at 5,000 rpm, with more than 80% of it already available at 3,000 rpm. Power is sent to the wheel via a six-speed gearbox.
Compared to the previous version, the new addition from Mandello is generally more complete in terms of equipment. Highlights include 40-mm hydraulic telescopic front forks, twin-sided preload adjustable rear shock absorbers, and new aluminium wheels measuring 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear. These are wrapped with a 100/90 and a 150/70 sized front and rear tyres.
The braking system comprises a 320-mm floating steel disk with a four-piston Brembo calliper at the front and a 260-mm disc mated to a two-piston floating calliper at the rear. Dual-channel ABS is equipped as standard along with Traction Control.
Like the regular V7 Stone, the Centenario Edition is equipped with a full LED light system with the headlight that includes a DRL in the shape of the Moto Guzzi Eagle, a digital instrument cluster set in a circular dial, new side panels and rear mudguard, and a new exhaust system. There are additional steel elements in the headstock area as well as a new, two-tier saddle that ensures greater comfort. New footpegs are also included.
