Honda Civic 11th Generation Unveiled In Sepang Circuit

The latest Honda Civic arrives in the RS version, order books are open for customers in Malaysia.

The all new 11th generation Honda Civic will be in Malaysian Honda showrooms in the coming month, January 2022, but order books are open for those who want to be first in line. The current 10th generation Honda Civic remains a segment best seller in Malaysia and is still in the No.1 spot in the C-segment with a market share of 70 percent and is also Honda Malaysia’s third best-selling model in overall sales.

The global launch for this new Civic was in May 2021 with production starting in Canada for the American buyers and now it is ready for the ASEAN region where it is firm segment favorite.

This new 2022 model Civic gets the familiar 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that delivers 176bhp and 240NM of torque via a CVT. Yes, the previous version delivered 20Nm less torque. Its fuel efficiency remains at 17.2 km/liter which is class competitive and it must be noted that this Civic is a large car, almost as large as the Accord from two generations ago.

The latest Civic has grown in size and it now measures 4,678 mm in length 1,415 mm in height and 1,802 mm wide. Its wheelbase too has gone up by 33 mm. This allows for more cabin space and better rear legroom in the rear.

The All-New Civic RS comes equipped with intuitive technologies, in particular, an enhanced Honda SENSING which has improved functionality by offering natural and smooth steering operation.

The enhanced Honda SENSING also now comes with a new feature – Lead Car Departure Notification System. This system notifies the driver of the start of the preceding car. During idle times such as the waiting at a traffic light, the system will alert driver about the departure of the preceding car.
