Here Is A Version Of The Mazda CX-5 That You Might Want
Mazda Motor’s remodelled CX-5 sport utility vehicle launched.
The Mazda CX-5 SUV is a true success story for the Mazda brand and it has been a sales success in every single market it has been introduced. Unveiled to the global market in 2012, this was Mazda’s first ever Kodo Design vehicle.
The KODO design philosophy was first shared in 2010 by Mazda. Mazda product designers said this, “a car is more than just a mean of transport or a mass of metal. It should be a vital presence in people’s lives, like a friend or family member. That’s why the KODO design philosophy is all about breathing life into the very form of our cars”.
In 2015, Mazda designers tweaked the Kodo Design a little and it was again a resounding success story in every single market it was introduced.
Now, for 2022 there is a tweaked and re-imagined CX-5 SUV. It has only just gone on sale in Japan with suggested retail prices ranging from ¥2,678,500 to ¥4,075,500. Mazda Japan did not disclose a sales target figure and when it will reach Malaysian shores.
The changes include a revamped shock-absorbing structure to reduce driver fatigue and a redesigned cargo area that will make it easier to load and remove luggage.
The vehicle will be available in two special models, which is ‘Field Journey’, using waterproof materials in the cargo area, and a more ‘Sporty Appearance’, with a black interior and colored exterior accents.
The exterior is given a tough impression with a silver-plated front, rear bumper garnish and side garnish, such as a gloss black door mirror, including the silver-plated front and rear bumper garnish. The interior uses lime green accented color on seat stitching and air-conditioner surround.
The CX-5 is Mazda’s core model, accounting for 29 percent of its global sales in 2020. The upgraded SUV will be launched in the North America and in Europe early 2022.
To date, the Mazda CX-5 has been the brands best selling vehicle and this is why Mazda product engineers continue to evolve the CX-5. In early November 2021, Mazda Motor Corp. began accepting reservations for its mainstay CX-5 sport utility vehicle following a facelift aimed at maintaining steady sales in Japan and soon other markets.
The CX‑5 is one of the best-selling Mazda’s worldwide, holding the number-one spot in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. It has won over 100 awards internationally, taking home 45 accolades in its launch year alone.
The Mazda CX-5 has been named a 2021 Car and Driver 10 Best winner, the fourth consecutive year it has won this title and its safety credentials include winning a TOP SAFETY PICK from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety every year since it entered the market.
Other outstanding achievements include the Women’s World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) Family Car of the Year (2017) and two highly coveted awards for Best New Small Utility Vehicle (2018) and Best New Mid-Size Utility Vehicle (2019) from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada.
In Europe, the CX‑5 was voted Best in Test in the Mid-Class SUV category for the Dutch Consumer Association’s annual Car Guide (2015), beating nine other competitors to the title.
