Bell & Ross BR 03-92 Diver White Launched At RM16,300

Bell & Ross is most recognised for its various aviation and military watch collections but the brand of French origins also has a pretty remarkable diving watch lineup, which started back in 1997 with the Hydromax.

Now, the company has added the new BR 03-92 Diver White to its Diver family. Inspired by “frozen watery worlds”, the watch comes with a white dial, which is something you don’t see very often from Bell & Ross. However, the dial’s exact colour is an opalescent silver in subtle tones, with a matte surface that has been metallised to create iridescent reflections across the piece.

Meanwhile, the satin-finished and polished steel rounded square case borrows the BR01’s iconic design but in a waterproof underwater version. Since it is the company’s interpretation of an aeroplane dashboard, the squared case is an unusual sight underwater but this, in turn, gives the BR 03-92 a distinctive personality.

The case is waterproof and houses the BR-CAL 302 self-winding calibre, which can withstand very low temperatures and controls the hour, minute and seconds function, as well as the date.

The crown is screwed down to withstand the pressure of deep seas, and has a rubber insert for better sealing. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal on this diving watch is very thick, and the back is reinforced. It comes with a black rubber strap, which is suitable for underwater use. An ultra-resilient black synthetic fabric is also provided.

Other highlights of the the watch include:

The case is waterproof to depths of 300m.
The unidirectional rotating bezel is graduated over 60 minutes, with a luminescent dot at 12 o’clock. This notched element is used to calculate decompression stops.
A crown protector prevents accidental manipulations of the crown.
The metal hands and indices are coated with a photo-luminescent Super-LumiNova® coating, emitting a bright green colour in the dark. Readability remains optimal, including deep underwater, where you otherwise might not be able to see your hand in front of your face.
