Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC Updated, Available With RM13K SST Discount Until July 2022
The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC has been updated in time for the SST discount, but the price is up.
With only a week left to enjoy the sales tax discount on CBU and CKD cars, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia have very quickly made two SUVs available. The first was the first-ever plug-in hybrid GLC 300e Coupé which is locally-assembled for a RM25K discount until July comes around. Besides that, the company also yesterday UPDATED the fully-imported Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC sports SUV, which comes with an RM13,305.69 discount if you order it before the end of June 2022. It is quite likely Mercedes-Benz will be able to deliver the vehicle in time for the registration deadline of March 2023, which the government recently stipulated.
The Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC was first introduced in Malaysia back in September 2020 for RM363,136.52. They’ve now updated the vehicle with new equipment and as such, the price goes up. What’s more, the cost of production has gone up globally and the Ringgit has weakened since the initial introduction of this vehicle. The new price for the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLB 35 4MATIC is RM405,888. That being said, the 50% SST discount that is still in place provided your booking is made before the end of June 2022 brings the price down to RM392,582.31.
The new GLB 35 update brings in a number of highly important features such as the Parking Package with 360-degree cameras, a Heads Up Display, an AMG Performance steering wheel in nappa leather with AMG steering buttons, MBUX Interior Assistant as well as Surround Lighting with brand logo projection from the side mirrors.
As before, it comes with:
- AMG-specific radiator grille
- AMG rear apron
- AMG dynamic spoiler lip
- AMG roof spoiler
- 20″ AMG 5-twin spoke light alloy wheels in tantalite grey with high-sheen finish
- AMG high-performance braking system with silver brake callipers and black AMG lettering
- Black ARTICO man-made leather/DINAMICA microfibre and design red seat belts
- Light and Sights package
- 5 AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive modes
It is powered by a 2.0 turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with 306 horsepower and 400Nm of torque. This gives the AMG GLB 35 4MATIC a 0-100km/h time of just 5.2 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 250km/h. Power is sent to all four wheels via an AMG Speedshift 8-speed dual clutch transmission.
