CTOS Launches Online Vehicle Check Facility
This is the newest addition to the CTOS customer services suite
CTOS Digital Berhad (CTOS), through its subsidiary company, CTOS IDS Sdn Bhd, has just launched a new service in collaboration with OTOFACTS that allows customers to check the history of used vehicles considered for purchase. This is the latest addition to the brand’s customer services suite dubbed CTOS Vehicle Check.
This new CTOS Vehicle Check online platform offers a one-stop solution for hassle-free access to thorough reports on used or reconditioned vehicles registered in Malaysia, Japan and the UK. CTOS will use their extensive customer base to offer access to these reports to more Malaysians to give them confidence when buying a used car.
Moreover, OTOFACTS is Malaysia’s first online automotive bureau with the largest database in the country and through this partnership with CTOS, the former brand will have access to the automotive records along with a bunch of information from various sources like auction houses, insurance companies and government agencies too.
Group CEO of CTOS Digital Berhad, Eric Hamburger, said “The challenge with buying a used car is that buyers more often than not have little to no access to verify the background information of the car.”
“By providing easy and immediate access to extensive data through CTOS Vehicle Check, we can help reduce fraud and improve transparency in the sale and purchase of used vehicles in Malaysia, giving consumers the peace of mind with a used car report they can trust.” He added.
On top of that, the CTOS Vehicle Check online platform will also allow customers to check useful and relevant information about the vehicle such as accident history, vehicle mileage, if the vehicle was ever reported stolen, car ownership history and any open manufacturer recalls.
Customers can also check salvage titles (useful to see if the car has ever been declared as a write off), auction records, airbag deployment history (this is only for Japanese cars at the moment), service and maintenance records as well as car registration on the CTOS Vehicle Check online platform.
CEO of OTOFACTS, Shahir Ali, also stated, “An important step in any used car purchase is getting a vehicle check report that can be trusted. This will enable consumers to make informed decisions based on hidden details behind the vehicle to determine the car’s market value and ensure years of reliable and safe transportation.”
