Ora Good Cat Garners Attention While Paraded Through Bukit Bintang On Christmas Eve

GWM has been finding interesting ways to bring the Ora Good Cat to the public’s eye!

This Christmas weekend, GWM Malaysia put their recently launched Ora Good Cat on the back of a truck and sent it around Bukit Bintang. The car was placed inside of a clear plastic display box with LED lighting, some decorative baloons and a big red bow to top it all off. Perhaps a few rich shoppers got the idea to book one as a last minute Christmas gift to themselves or a very special someone.

The stunt paid off, it would seem. The Ora Good Cat attracted the attention of shoppers, road users and other pedestrians in the area surrounding Pavilion Mall in KL. On the side of the car’s display case read the message, “A Paw-some Present Just for You”.

This was accompanied by a cartoon cat in a Santa hat and a QR code that would presumably link to more information on the car or an order page. Many were seen with their phones out, doubtless ready to snap up a photo and upload it on social media. Nothing like some free publicity!

GWM Malaysia isn’t the first to take up the mobile display idea. Back when the City RS made its ASEAN debut in Malaysia, Honda Malaysia also took that car on tour on the back of a truck. We also recall at least one other brand doing so as well.

The Ora Good Cat is available as the 400 Pro at RM139,800 or the 500 Ultra at RM169,800. The Ora Good Cat 400 Pro can return about 400km of range with its Lithium Ion Phosphate battery while the 500 Ultra variant promises about 500km with its Ternary Lithium battery.
