Sime Darby Motors Body & Paint Centre Opens In Penang
Sime Darby Motors opens a multi-brand 4S centre for the Northern Region.
Sime Darby Motors has officially launched its Centralised Body & Paint Centre in Jalan Sungai Pinang, Penang, marking the company’s commitment to providing top-notch service quality to its customers in the northern region. The company, which retails BMW, MINI, Motorrad, BYD, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, and Hyundai vehicles, as well as quality pre-owned cars through Sime Darby Auto Selection, invested RM3 million to build the 20,000 sq ft facility equipped with the latest technology and equipment.
The new service centre is designed to streamline repairs and restoration works for all Sime Darby Motors’ brands while ensuring that the services adhere to the brands’ discerning quality standards. The workflow will also accelerate repairs and restoration works, reducing downtime for customers.
According to Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Sime Darby Motors, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong & Macau, the new Centralised Body & Paint Centre is well-equipped to provide a comprehensive range of services to customers.
“Customers can be assured of good quality service for all their repair and restoration needs. Services will range from providing basic service repair work, accident repairs, and paintwork to preparing the necessary documents needed for insurance claims.”
The centre is equipped with four mechanical bays with hoist, including one heavy-duty bay for body repairs, one dry-sanding bay, one preparation bay, and one spray booth with the capacity to service and repair up to 80 units of vehicle per month, which require body repair works. The well-trained specialists will ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed according to set guidelines from the principals of the various brands under the Sime Darby Motors umbrella.
Customers in the Northern region who require repairs and paint restoration work on their vehicles will need to contact their respective service centres, and their cars will then be sent to Sime Darby Motors’ Centralised Body & Paint Centre by their respective After Sales Service team.
