Volvo Car Malaysia will introduce a range of updates and changes to its new fleet of Volvo XC90, XC60, S90, S60 and V60 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) for 2024. The updates will be applicable to models introduced from September, including the addition of a stylish new colour, Vapour Grey. Let’s explore

Driven by Volvo’s electrification ambition, all Volvo 2024 PHEVs will come with a more powerful 6.4kW on-board charger (OBC) with two- or three-phase charging for shorter charging times, defaulting to 3.6 kW for single- phase charging. This will allow owners to spend less time charging and more time enjoying the journey.

Moreover, the exterior upgrades to the 2024 Volvo PHEV models will see a panoramic sunroof added as a standard feature for all models. Meanwhile, the Volvo S90 Recharge will be equipped with a new eight-spoke wheel design, while the V60 Recharge and S60 Recharge will receive a new six-spoke version instead.

Other key updates for the 2024 Volvo models include a new 6.4kW On-board Charger 2-phase update for all new PHEV models, a 5-year complimentary Digital Services including access to Google Assistant, Google Maps, Google Play Store and Volvo Cars app remote functions for all new models.

On top of that, Vapour Grey, a new exterior colour option has been added for all models, joining the existing Onyx Black, Crystal White, Denim Blue, and Platinum Grey colourways.

As standard all models will now also get a panoramic sunroof with power operation option as well as new wheel rim designs for the Volvo S90 Recharge, Volvo V60 Recharge and Volvo S60 Recharge along with newYouTube app inclusion for Google built-in.

All 2024 car models come with Volvo’s extensive suite of safety features, such as Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Lane Keeping Aid, and Collision Avoidance & Mitigation with Steering Support and Braking.

All new Volvo 2024 PHEV models will also have the YouTube app available on the Google built-in infotainment systems. The app can only be used when the car is stationary, such as while charging or taking a break from the road, and users can sign in to access video subscriptions and recommendations.

Eligible previous Volvo models running on the Google built-in infotainment system will also receive YouTube via an over-the-air (OTA) software update, which now also allows scheduled charging via the Volvo Cars app.
