Pagani Automobili presents the Imola Roadster, the new limited edition unique open top roadster from the Grandi Complicazioni division. Featuring a one-of-a-kind design and technical specification, this vehicle was built to dominate the track even though all 8 units built are homologated for road use throughout the world.
It is the best-performing open-top the brand has ever created and the more powerful engine requires increased cooling, prompting the team to meticulously address the radiators and the dynamics of interior air flows, enhancing the Pagani Imola Roadster’s reliability and performance.
Moreover, two new features to optimize cooling were added to the Pagani Imola, including the enlargement of the two front air intakes and the dual outlet for warm air, one is concealed in the wheel arch and the other is on the side of the bumper, a distinctive feature of the Imola model.
Every line and surface of the Pagani Imola Roadster was also designed with the goal of reaching 600kg of downforce at 280km/h to guarantee safe and reliable behavior in every situation. This is what keeps the car planted at major speeds.
What’s more, the team of engineers and designers concentrated on achieving a balance between a sophisticated system of interior air flows and an exterior profile that would generate downforce in any driving condition. That is the biggest feature of the Pagani Imola that makes it the ultimate track machine.
On top of that, weight is crucial for establishing efficiency and driving pleasure. Thanks to structural principles and innovative composite materials, the Pagani Imola weighs in at just 1,260kg. This is a result of meticulous attention to every detail. Even a special paint is used to shave 5kg off the car without compromising on looks.
The Pagani Imola Roadster owes part of its magic to the evolution of the 5,980 cc Pagani V12, specifically designed by Mercedes-Benz AMG for Pagani, which delivers 850hp of power and 1,100Nm of torque. This power is transferred through a seven-speed transversal sequential by Xtrac.
