The Toyota Supra A90 is coming to the end of its lifecycle and there are a couple of variants to send it off.
The 5th generation Toyota Supra has been controversial but exciting from the start and now whether you love it or hate it, it’s coming to the end of its lifecycle. Toyota are giving us two commemorative send off variants – one is the A90 Final Edition model for Japan and Europe only. The rest of the world will get a ‘partially upgraded’ 3.0L model which is less extensive and doesn’t have any more power than the current model.
Let’s start with the partially upgraded Supra 3.0L, as this is the only UMW Toyota are more likely to bring it. Here are the changes:
Partially Upgraded Supra (3.0-Liter) Features
Drivetrain
• Optimized active differential control reduces understeer and enhances handling.
Brakes
• Larger-diameter Brembo front disc brakes improve braking performance.
Tires and Wheels
• Matte black wheels for bold styling.
Body and Suspension
• Revised electronically controlled shock absorbers for better driving performance.
• Strengthened front stabilizer and reinforced aluminum brackets for stabilizers.
• Upgraded rubber bushings (front control arms) and mounts (rear subframe) enhance suspension-body integration.
• Strengthened rear underfloor brace increases body rigidity and improves grip and controllability.
• Optimized electric power steering (EPS) delivers a more direct steering feel.
• Adjusted front and rear camber angles improve grip and cornering stability.
Exterior
• Carbon-fiber ducktail rear spoiler enhances aerodynamic balance and downforce.
• Added front wheel arch flaps and higher front tire spats improve aerodynamics and handling.
Interior
• “GR”-embroidered Alcantara® and leather driver’s seat.
• Red accents on shift knob (manual), stitching, and seatbelts emphasize sportiness.
As for the A90 Final Edition Supra, the changes are more extensive:
