GAC and AION fans in the South of Malaysia can now enjoy the brands closer to home
GAC Motor and AION have officially opened up shop in Southern Malaysia with the grand opening of the new GAC Motor & AION Johor Jaya 3S Center. This underscores the brands’ dedication to providing greater accessibility, convenience and services to customers in Johor and nearby regions so they don’t have to travel to the Klang Valley for this anymore.
Held on 25 April 2025, the ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by key representatives from WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), WariTan Automobile Sdn Bhd, and eGarage Auto Services Sdn Bhd. Located in the bustling Plentong area, the center offers a full 3S (Sales, Service, Spare Parts) experience.
Moreover, spanning 19,248 square feet, the facility features four hoists, six work bays, and room for future expansion. A team of seven certified technicians and service advisors ensure high-quality maintenance and support. The 6,590 sq ft showroom and lounge area provide a welcoming atmosphere, supported by seven professional sales consultants.
Amenities include WiFi, a kids’ play area and even an EV charger to accommodate Malaysia’s growing electric vehicle (EV) market. With this latest addition, GAC Motor & AION now operate 20 showrooms across Malaysia, including in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
The brands also maintain three strategically placed parts hubs in Northern, Central and Southern regions, enabling efficient aftersales support and parts distribution. To commemorate the opening, the GAC Motor Showroom Weekender will take place from 26 to 27 April 2025 for customers to enjoy.
On top of that, visitors can enjoy test drives, view the latest model lineup, including an exclusive preview of the all-electric AION HYPTEC HT SUV, and enjoy refreshments. Promotions include up to nine months of free installments for the GAC GS3 EMZOOM and up to 15 months with a complimentary portable charger for AION Y Plus bookings.
Buyers of the EMZOOM Premium-R variant will also receive a GAC Smart Watch. GAC’s nearly 20-year partnership with Toyota and Honda in China has fostered advanced manufacturing facilities using Japanese production processes, reflected in the high standards of its vehicles today.
The centre is located at No. 2, Jalan Johor Jaya, Taman Johor Jaya, 81000 Johor Bahru and will operate from 9 AM to 7 PM from Mondays to Saturdays and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sundays and public holidays. The service centre will operate every Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM.
