The Audi SQ5 has everything you love about the Q5 but adds more style
The Audi Q5 Sportback has been revealed and it blends the versatility of an SUV with the dynamic styling of a coupé for anyone who wants a practical SUV but with added flair. Its sloping roofline and sharp, sculpted lines give it a sporty profile, while still offering generous space.

The second-generation Q5 Sportback provides up to 515 litres of luggage capacity, or 470 litres in the SQ5 variant. Folding the rear seats expands that to 1,415 litres (1,388 litres in the SQ5), and it boasts a towing capacity of up to 2,400kg. The sleek silhouette of the Q5 Sportback is defined by a high, wide Singleframe grille, angular headlights and a bold shoulder line that flows toward the sculpted rear.
Moreover, the roof tapers down from the B-pillar, giving the Sportback a stretched, athletic look. At the rear, minimal lines and a crisp surface enhance its progressive styling, completed by a distinctive boot lid spoiler and integrated diffuser. Audi SQ5 models add twin round tailpipes in a refined design.

Available in Sport, S line, Edition 1 and the performance-focused SQ5, each model features unique visual details. The Sport trim includes Scandium Grey grille accents and Volcano Grey bumpers, with 19-inch alloy wheels as standard. S line and above introduce larger front air intakes, matte Anthracite or black accents and L-wing-style aero elements.
On top of that, the Audi SQ5 adds vertical chrome elements to the grille and exclusive black exterior trim. OLED rear lights (standard on SQ5 Edition 1) and a new brake light projection system improve both safety and visibility. Inside, the Q5 Sportback reflects Audi’s modern design philosophy with a high-contrast layout and 3D spatial architecture.

The wraparound “Softwrap” design extends across doors and the cockpit, enhancing comfort. Sustainable materials like Cascade upholstery (S line) and Dinamica microfiber (Edition 1) underscore Audi’s commitment to environmentally conscious luxury. Built on the Premium Platform Combustion, the Q5 Sportback features mild hybrid technology with a 48V system.

This setup supports the engine with up to 230Nm of torque, enables electric coasting and powers features like an electric AC compressor. Regenerative braking recovers energy with up to 25kW output. Plug-in hybrid variants will join the lineup later. So will we be seeing this updated Audi model here in Malaysia soon as well?
