The new BMW F 900 XR is here and ready to stylishly take you everywhere
BMW Motorrad Malaysia has introduced the New BMW F 900 XR, broadening its motorcycle lineup to better meet the diverse demands of Malaysian riders. This new model reinforces BMW’s commitment to combining dynamic performance with premium engineering for today’s riding enthusiasts.
Designed as a mid-range long-distance sports bike, the BMW F 900 XR comes with a host of visual, technical, and comfort upgrades. Built for both city rides and rugged terrain, it features a stiffer, upside-down telescopic fork with a 43 mm slider tube and fully adjustable rebound, compression damping, and preload.
Moreover, lighter 17-inch cast aluminium wheels and a reduced-weight battery contribute to a 3 kg total weight savings, enhancing agility and handling. The addition of an aerodynamic engine spoiler underscores the bike’s sporty character. Touring comfort is significantly improved with optimized front fairing aerodynamics, a redesigned wind deflector and standard hand protectors.
Future BMW F 900 XR owners will be glad to know that Headlight Pro now comes standard, offering enhanced visibility, while new rear turn signals integrate additional functions for improved safety. Other practical features include a USB-C charging port, heated grips and a reimagined rear end for added convenience.
The New BMW F 900 XR is also powered by an 895cc water-cooled, two-cylinder inline engine producing 105hp and 93Nm of torque. The 6-speed constant-mesh gearbox and multi-disc oil-bath clutch ensure smooth power delivery, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.6 seconds and reaching speeds over 200 km/h.
On top of that, safety remains a top priority for BMW with advanced features like Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), ABS Pro for cornering and Dynamic ESA for adaptive suspension. The Gear Shift Assistant Pro allows for seamless clutchless shifting, while Tyre Pressure Control (TPC) provides real-time monitoring for peace of mind.
Rider convenience is further enhanced by Keyless Ride and Cruise Control, offering ease of use and reduced fatigue during long journeys. A rear-mounted case holder supports added luggage for touring needs. The bike is offered in Racing Blue/Lightwhite with black seats and color accents in Racing Red and Avus Black.
The New BMW F 900 XR is priced at RM82,500 (on the road, excluding insurance) and includes a 3-Year Warranty and Roadside Assistance. With BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia, monthly ownership starts from RM1,158, along with access to service and warranty extension programs.
