Three new models starting with the Hyundai Stargazer to be introduced, with local production (assembly in Kulim) commencing Q3 2025
This plan to introduce new models includes the popular in Indonesia and Philippines, Hyundai Stargazer MPV. This model is being considered as it is potential rival to the very popular Perodua Alza, its sibling the Toyota Veloz, and the market leading Mitsubishi Xpander.

The Stargazer is powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine (like its its rivals), paired with Hyundai’s iVT (intelligent variable transmission), a step-less transmission. It is equipped with Hyundai Motor’s SmartSense intelligent safety system.
The next Hyundai vehicle to be locally assembled will be the large and futuristic looking Hyundai Staria MPV. Already on sale in Malaysia since October 2022, this MPV was priced from RM180k and has seen a number of fans in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company is marking a significant milestone with the official establishment of Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY), a newly formed local entity following the brand’s direct entry into the market.
