PRO-NET Expands EV Presence Nationwide With New Dealerships And Milestones

PRO-NET is serious about making its mark in Malaysia and its is proving this

PRO-NET, a fully owned subsidiary of PROTON and the driving force behind Malaysia’s national EV initiative, continues to advance its mission to bring electric mobility closer to Malaysians. This June, PRO-NET achieved another milestone with the expansion of its dealership network under the Proton e.MAS and smart brands.

Three new outlets, located in Kota Kinabalu, IOI City Mall Putrajaya and Old Klang Road, are now operational, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to EV accessibility across both East and West Malaysia. The latest expansion is a strategic move to strengthen PRO-NET’s dealership and aftersales network, ensuring high-quality service and broader nationwide access to EVs.

Moreover, as Proton e.MAS celebrates its first anniversary, the brand is building strong momentum with rising public confidence. Its flagship model, the e.MAS 7, has become the fastest-selling EV in Malaysia to surpass 3,000 units. As of June 2025, 35 Proton e.MAS dealerships are fully operational, with 47 appointed across the country.

The new additions, Fook Loi Eurocar in Kota Kinabalu, Jewel Sonic in Putrajaya, and Peringgit Auto Max in Kuala Lumpur, offer full sales, service, and support facilities to EV owners. In addition to dealerships, the growing Proton e.MAS ecosystem now includes 25 3S centres, 31 DC fast chargers and 10 Body and Paint centres, ensuring a seamless ownership journey.

On top of that, the network expansion underscores PRO-NET’s goal of delivering convenience and confidence to EV users nationwide. Meanwhile, smart Malaysia has marked a major milestone with the opening of its first dealership in East Malaysia.

Operated by Fook Loi Corporation, the Kota Kinabalu outlet offers both smart #1 and smart #3 models and is fully equipped with EV-ready infrastructure and trained personnel, offering East Malaysians access to a premium EV experience.

Zhang Qiang PRO-NET CEO also stated, “Our growing network is about more than numbers — it’s about people. Each new dealership means a new community empowered to embrace EVs. This is how we build the future — one step at a time, from city centres to Sabah and beyond.”

With a robust dealer network and two strong EV brands, PRO-NET is leading Malaysia’s EV transformation, connecting more people and places through innovation, infrastructure, and accessible electric mobility.
