This is the Alibaba developed electric car, the IM Motor L6. It is a very special electric car for its claimed use of mass-produced solid-state batteries, which provide an estimated range of over 1,000km (an amazing 623 miles).

There are also other standout features which include its performance. There is one variant capable of a 0-100 km/h sprint in 2.74 seconds and it is equipped with 900V electrical architecture, along with an advanced interior featuring a triple-screen setup and a futuristic half-moon steering wheel.

Its advanced “crab walking” manoeuvrability and integrated LiDAR for 360-degree awareness also make it unique.

Here are details about its battery

It is the world’s first mass-produced solid-state battery powered car. The IM Motor L6 is claimed to be the first production vehicle to use a solid-state battery, which allows for a long range and fast charging.

The solid-state battery version boasts an estimated range of over 1,000 km (623 miles) making the IM Motor L6 one of the best performing electric cars right now.

The top-tier Ultra Performance AWD model offers 776 horsepower and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 2.74 seconds, with a 900V architecture for quick charging.

Technology and interior

The dashboard features a triple-screen configuration, with a large central display and two side screens for the driver and passenger.

A futuristic half-moon steering wheel option is available, and the steering is electronically adjustable for firmness.

The L6 is equipped with LiDAR and offers 360-degree views, while the “City Drive” feature displays local content on the screen. It is equipped with high-end hardware, including an Nvidia Orin X chip and LiDAR technology for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). The smart cockpit uses a Qualcomm 8295 chip to power a triple-screen dashboard setup.

The car includes a “Carlog” for Vlog recording, a 21-speaker stereo, and a smart light system that can display messages on the rear of the vehicle.

It features a sophisticated “ICS gimbal control” system that minimizes body roll and nodding during acceleration and intense braking, improving passenger comfort. The ability to move all four wheels to turn allows the vehicle to manoeuvre with a tight turning radius of up to 4.99 meters, making it exceptionally agile in urban environments.

The L6 has a versatile hatchback design, providing generous cargo space and 60/40 split-fold rear seats for expandability.
