‘WINGS OPERA HIDUP’ WOWS THE AUDIENCE AT HARLEY-DAVIDSON NITE

Malaysia’s legendary rock band, WINGS, delivered a scintillating performance that electrified the crowd at a special presentation at the Istana Budaya. Originally slated to run from 29th April till 1st May, ‘Konsert Wings Opera Hidup’ extended its performance by one more night exclusively for Harley-Davidson Kuala Lumpur and the NAZA Group of Companies. Themed ‘Harley-Davidson Nite’, the special show was held exclusively for all Harley-Davidson owners and clients as well as for selected customers and guests of the NAZA Group of Companies.
Speaking before the concert Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of the Naza Group of Companies said, “This special concert is being held exclusively for all Harley-Davidson owners and clients. I think everybody here tonight not only appreciates the music of WINGS, but also has an appreciation for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.”
Aside from sponsoring the concert, NAZA also organized a carnival at Laman Beringin that was held throughout the concert period. Among the activities held during the carnival special was a “Wings with Superfren” autograph session held on Thursday, April 28. Fans of the group were given the opportunity to meet them as well as to get their autographs.
Several “Motor Cantik” competitions were also organized for enthusiasts with categories for the Naza Blade/GTR, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, open category for scooters, open category for kapchais and a category for Vespas. Participants won some amazing prizes and were also given free T-shirts for competing courtesy of NAZA World.
“The NAZA Group of companies is proud to be associated with WINGS, who have shown their tenacity and staying power by still being so popular after 25 years in the music industry. The concert tonight is yet another activity that demonstrates the intention of the NAZA Group to organise yet more exclusive events for our customers, partners, friends and the public,” said Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri Nasimuddin.
Among the attendees of the concert were 40 children from a local orphanage who were feted and given free entry for the night. Their presence was part of Harley-Davidson Kuala Lumpur’s and the Harley-Davidson Owners Groups’ commitment to community service efforts that previously also included charity rides and visits to old folks homes to make contributions in cash and kind.
