Husqvarna Motorcycles has unveiled the 2017 edition of the FS 450 supermoto, which is said to be “a drastically revamped machine offering a notable leap forward in terms of technology and performance.”
So what’s new? Apart from some fresh graphics, the FS 450 is now equipped with new WP AER 48 split air forks that have 5 mm more travel and are 1.66 kg lighter than the predecessor. The unit comes with newly designed triple clamps that allow the fork tubes to flex under load as well as an air pump for easy adjustment.
The new forks are matched with a new set of aluminium engine mountings that further improves suspension functionality while reducing the overall weight.
While the 63 hp, 450 cc single-cylinder engine remain untouched, the FS 450 now integrates traction control alongside the existing launch control and selectable engine maps. Like the two electronic features, the traction control can be engaged through a new map switch on the handlebar.
