About Honda

At Honda we aim to turn dreams into reality. We dream of flying. We dream of creating a robot to help us. We dream of making all cars as ‘green’ as the forest. We dream of how much more fun and exciting life could be.

On July 6, 2015, the new President and CEO, Takahiro Hachigo talked about navigating the Honda brand in the coming years and its aspirations as we move towards the future.

About Honda Malaysia

On 15 November 2000, a partnership between Honda Motor Co. Ltd. of Japan, DRB-HICOM Berhad and Oriental Holdings Berhad resulted in the birth of Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a company committed to offering the “Highest Customer Satisfaction in Malaysia”.

Since then, Honda Malaysia has been a solid and aggressive player in the Malaysian automotive market. Each year, it progresses so rapidly that it set up a plant in Pegoh, Melaka. With this new plant, not only is Honda Malaysia optimistic of achieving high sales every year, it has further strengthened Honda’s reputation in Malaysia.

Honda Malaysia rides strongly on its slogan “The Power of Dreams”. It signifies the ever-changing and growing needs of the future. A future with better technology, along with better value.

Honda Malaysia’s Factory

On 17 January 2003, Honda Malaysia’s Pegoh plant in Alor Gajah, Melaka, proudly rolled out its first car, a CR-V. Since then, we have never looked back, supporting our dream of delivering greater value to Malaysians.

Spread over 80 acres of land in the Pegoh industrial park, Honda Malaysia’s Pegoh Plant has a total built-up area of 13 acres.

It boasts 3 zones: the main plant which houses the Complete Knock Down Unit (CKD) assembly plant and its auxiliary buildings, the Constant Velocity Joint (CVJ) plant, and the Complete Built-Up Unit (CBU) pre-delivery operation.

All lives are precious. That’s why Honda sees safety as one of the most vital aspect in car making. Honda strives to make products with high levels of safety, so that everyone can have a safe and pleasant journey wherever they go.

Focusing on environmental-friendliness, quality and cost competitiveness, self-reliability and conduciveness, the plant also realises our long-term vision to become a major player in the ASEAN region

Material Services is responsible for the control of CKD parts such as receiving and delivery-otherwise known as Total Inbound Logistics within the plant. Honda Malaysia operates its CKD operation from internal resources to ensure that cost targets can be achieved.
