Mercedes-Benz Opening Regional After-Sales Logistics Centre In Johor

Mercedes-Benz will be opening a regional After-Sales Logistics Centre in Malaysia soon.

Mercedes-Benz’s regional headquarters is in Malaysia and today they have announced that Malaysia will also be the location of their new regional After-Sales Logistics Centre.

A new company has been formed to operate this centre called “Mercedes Benz Parts Logistics Asia Pacific (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd”. It is a 100% subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG.

Plans for the new facility have been finalised and the company has decided on Senai Airport City, Johor Bahru as the location. Mercedes-Benz has already signed a long-term lease agreement for the location and plans to begin operations there from 2024.

Located strategically in Johor Bahru, this new After-Sales Logistics Center will enable us to reaffirm our position as a global and regional distribution hub whilst creating new jobs for the region. The new building will be developed with Tiong Nam Logistics Solutions Sdn Bhd as their partner.

This new centre will become a part of the global Daimler AG After-Sales Supply Chain Network and it will serve as a spare parts distribution site for the Asia Pacific region as well as for a few other countries. It will be importing, storing, managing and distributing Mercedes-Benz spare parts and official accessories.

The facility in Johor Bahru will span 1,000,000 square feet and it will be fit with the latest storage and material-handling systems to cope with the amount of work that’s expected.
