Let’s Help This HONEST Man Sell His Beloved Peugeot 308 GT

This is the FIRST truly honest used car advertisement and we must help this seller with his 308 GT.

With the flash floods in Selangor over the weekend destroying homes, businesses and vehicles, it is a very tough year end for thousands of Malaysians.

On social media we have seen many ‘pleading’ for assistance to get their homes back in order and many others ‘lost for words’ in seeing their vehicles completely covered by flood waters. Many of these vehicles are not even 12 months old and they do NOT have flood cover insurance as they never saw the need to buy this coverage.

Just a month ago, one insurance company issued a release advising car owners to get flood cover as the weather patterns in our country have changed drastically. The insurance company did a study and found some 59 percent of Malaysian car owners lacking flood protection.

Well, sadly that information fell on deaf ears as online shopping and year end holiday drives took importance.

Now with the devastating flash floods, we have seen an insurance company immediately taking care of its customers who have purchased flood cover for vehicles and also their homes.

Meanwhile, here is a car owner who has been very HONEST about the condition of his weekend ride. He has shared truthful information and current pictures of the car after being hit by flash floods at his routine workshop (the car just happened to be at the workshop for maintenance) and he needs to sell his rare Peugeot 308 GT to get back on his feet.

There will be many flooded cars on sale in the coming weeks, but this is the FIRST ever to be completely honest. Let’s help this 308 GT owner and share his car sale to get him the best possible price.

2008 Model Peugeot 308 GT For Sale

Selling my pride and joy..2008 Peugeot 308 GT.

This is a limited edition 3-door hatch with a 1.6-litre turbo Prince engine producing 175hp.

It has a 6 speed manual gearbox. Full glass panoramic roof and JBL audio system. Rumored to be less than 15 units in Malaysia, this baby is rare, stylish, fast, comfortable and handles like a dream.

Sadly, it was half submerged during last Saturdays flood. Picture freshly taken today at the site of incident. The mechanic will begin cleansing and restoration process in 2 days.

I am selling the car for RM28,000 as is where is basis. Negotiable for gentleman car lovers. Low-ballers please stay away. Car was in for maintenance service when the flood came and i can’t guarantee the condition once work is done. I am not trying to make profit. I just want to cut my losses and move on.

If you like this car or if you are a Peugeot enthusiast, feel free to contact me and we can arrange for a viewing. My loss is your gain.

By the way, in case you were wondering, this 308 GT uses the same engine as with the 2008 model Mini Cooper S (this was when Peugeot and the first modern day Mini from BMW shared engines).

It produces 175bhp at 6000rpm and a strong 240Nm at 1600rpm. This provided a top speed of 225kmh and an acceleration time of 8.3 seconds from 0-100km/h.

The THP engine is economical and its fuel consumption is approximately 7.6 liters/100km in a combined cycle. At launch it selling price was just RM159,999. Now, 13 years later, you can have this limited hot hatch in your garage.
