MINI JCW Aceman, JCW 3-Door Petrol & Electric Variants Launched

The MINI JCW family expands to give Malaysians more options than ever.

MINI Malaysia were part of the Malaysia Autoshow 2025 and they introduced new John Cooper Works (JCW) models to give customers more choices besides the JCW Countryman All4 petrol model from 2024. The three models launched are the Aceman JCW EV for RM241,118, the 3-Door JCW Petrol for RM330,988 and the 3-Door JCW EV for RM225,188.

The last of these is particularly interesting because of how inexpensive it is while still providing more performance than its petrol counterpart. It’s also very close in pricing to the non JCW EV version we reviewed last year.

JCW models are black-and-red themed in terms of upholstery with a unique JCW steering wheel. Unique JCW animations and info displays are found through the OLED MINI Interaction Unit.

JCW Aceman and JCW 3-Door EV

Both of these performance-oriented EV models are front-wheel driven with a single motor delivering and output of 258PS and 350Nm of torque. 0-100km/h takes 5.9 seconds on the 3-door and 6.4 seconds on the Aceman with both models’ top speed capped at 200km/h. The battery capacities are matched as well at 54.2kWh, with the 3-door capable of extracting 371km of range and the Aceman capable of 355km.

DC charging is limited to just 95kW, which takes about 30 minutes to get the battery from 10-80%. 11kW AC requires just over 5 hours to fully fill up the battery from flat. These EV models get a driver seat with massage functionality and ambient lighting that illuminates the panoramic roof.

JCW 3-Door Petrol

If range anxiety and charging isn’t your cup of tea, then there’s the petrol model of the JCW 3-Door. This comes with a 2-litre turbocharged four cylinder matched to a 7-speed DCT. It’s not quite as quick off the line as the EV, taking 6.1 seconds but at least your top speed gets extended to 250km/h.
