Another Day, Another Lorry And Motorcycle Accident

You guessed it, here’s another accident for you to read about, “yay!”

A tragic accident occurred yesterday when a motorcyclist died after his vehicle collided with a trailer attempting to make a U-turn along Jalan Persiaran Ros in Bukit Sentosa. Acting Hulu Selangor District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus, confirmed that police received information about the incident at approximately 4:00 p.m.

According to initial investigations, the trailer, driven by a 59-year-old man from Klang, was en route to Bukit Sentosa to collect a load. Upon reaching the location, the driver, who was in the left lane, attempted to execute a U-turn.

Moreover, unfortunately, a motorcycle approaching from the right lane in the same direction was unable to stop or maneuver away in time, resulting in a collision with the right side of the trailer. “The motorcyclist, a 57-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene,” said Mohd Asri when contacted by Berita Harian.

The victim’s body was later transported to the Forensic Unit at Kuala Kubu Bharu Hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Police are currently investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which deals with causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

On top of that, authorities have urged any witnesses or individuals with relevant information about the accident to step forward and assist with the investigation. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety, especially involving large vehicles executing complex maneuvers such as U-turns on busy roads.

Authorities continue to remind all drivers to be vigilant and cautious, particularly in areas with mixed traffic flows involving motorcycles and heavy vehicles. Condolences have poured in for the victim’s family, with many expressing sympathy and prayers for their loss.

As investigations continue, the police are working to determine whether any negligence contributed to the fatal incident and will take appropriate legal action based on the findings. We offer our condolences to the family and friends of the victims. Stay safe on the road. We got all this from Buletin TV 3. Thank you for the information and images.
