Motorcycle fans in Malaysia can now enjoy bikes from Indian Motorcycle too
Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company founded in 1901, has officially entered the Malaysian market through Spirit Lake Motor Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of AFY Mobility Industries (AMI). The brand’s launch event was held at Shizuku Coffee, B.Land in Petaling Jaya, marking a significant expansion milestone for Indian Motorcycle in Southeast Asia.

Spirit Lake Motor draws its name from the renowned Indian Motorcycle manufacturing facility in Spirit Lake, Iowa, honoring the brand’s rich heritage and commitment to craftsmanship. The launch featured an impressive showcase of models, including the Chieftain Dark Horse, Springfield Dark Horse, Scout, Scout Bobber Twenty, Scout Rogue and Scout Bobber.
Moreover, as the exclusive distributor of Indian Motorcycle in Malaysia, Spirit Lake Motor offers more than premium motorcycles. It provides a full suite of ownership benefits, including after-sales service, spare parts, technical support, warranty coverage, and licensed merchandise. This all-encompassing support system ensures peace of mind for current and future local owners.

Under its current principal, Indian Motorcycle embarks on a new chapter defined by stability, innovation, and trusted stewardship. Backed by AMI and guided by an experienced leadership team with decades in the two-wheel industry, Spirit Lake Motor is well-positioned to uphold the Indian Motorcycle legacy while delivering an elevated experience for Malaysian riders.
On top of that, currently operating from the AMI Showroom at PJ222 in Petaling Jaya, Indian Motorcycle Malaysia is preparing to open a dedicated flagship showroom and 3S lifestyle hub later this year. This centre will house Sales, Service and Spare Parts under one roof and serve as a destination for riders and enthusiasts to connect and celebrate the Indian Motorcycle spirit.

Founded in Springfield, Massachusetts, Indian Motorcycle earned its early reputation for powerful V-twin engines and groundbreaking factory race bikes. It became a key military supplier during World War I and has remained a symbol of American engineering and resilience. Today, it blends classic design with cutting-edge technology in a lineup respected worldwide.

With its Malaysian debut, Indian Motorcycle reaffirms a long-term commitment to the local riding community. “This is more than just a business—it’s a journey of heritage and passion,” said Lai Wai Keat, Brand Manager of Indian Motorcycle Malaysia. “We welcome all riders to experience the legendary American masterpiece.”
