Personality, Dato Seri Siti Nurhaliza was involved in a four-vehicle crash on the MEX Highway earlier today, April 16, 2026, but she is safe and sustained only minor injuries.
According to reports from Malay Mail and New Straits Times, the accident occurred at KM14.2 of the highway while she was returning from a performance in Sepang.
- Injuries: Dato Sri Siti suffered bruising and swelling on her leg but confirmed there are no serious injuries or ligament tears after an X-ray.
- Hospitalization: She was taken to the hospital for treatment and has since been discharged with her leg bandaged for recovery.
- Personal Update: Siti posted a video on Instagram to reassure fans, appearing with her son who confirmed that she is doing okay.
The accident happened in the vehicle she was travelling in and many are asking if it was a one of the 2 vehicles that she recently received which is a Zeekr 7X electric SUV and a GWM WEY SUV, while her manager, Rozi Sangdewi, was in a separate car behind and helped her exit the damaged vehicle.
Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza was appointed as the brand ambassador and was the first owner of the locally assembled (CKD) GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV in Malaysia. This premium luxury plug-in hybrid MPV, delivered in March 2026, features a 442hp, 1000km driving range and is priced around RM269,800.
Meanwhile, she took delivery of the Zeekr 7X Performance AWD variant in December 2025. This electric SUV is part of a lineup that includes RWD Standard and Long Range options, with prices starting from approximately RM179,800. Dato Sri Siti Nurhaliza is the 2000th Zeekr Malaysia owner.
