Over 9000 Malaysians Book the New Honda City Already

Back in mid-October, Honda Malaysia launched the all-new 5th generation City. It was one of the last major car launches in Malaysia before a new wave of infections forced companies to revert to fully-digital launches. Since that time, most of the country has been put under CMCO, but that hasn’t stopped the enthusiasm for the brand from shining through.

Today, just over a month since the City launch, Honda reports that they’ve collected over 9,000 bookings. Bear in mind, this includes bookings that were taken from the middle of August when order books were first opened.

Here are some other interesting facts shared about the data:

  • The V variant was the most popular model booked, representing 54% of all bookings for the petrol variants
  • The Central Region represented 44% of total bookings
  • 2400 units have been delivered to customers in its first month
  • The new Platinum White Pearl colour option was the most popular option (28%), despite being a cost option
