Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Gains New Equipment
These additions make the CLA 45 S safer and more convenient
Apart from introducing the ‘regular’ Mercedes-AMG A 45 S 4MATIC+ that replaces the Edition 1 model, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has also updated the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S 4MATIC+ Coupé for the year 2021.
While its styling remains unchanged, the potent four-door coupe is now equipped with a Head-Up Display that projects key driving information closer to the driver’s natural line of sight. The safety kit has also been bolstered with the addition of new rear side airbags.
With these new features, the price has gone up to RM453,374 on-the-road without insurance. When it was first launched in June 2020, the car was priced at RM448,888.
As before, the CLA 45 S is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, making 421 hp at 6,750 rpm and 500 Nm at 5,000 – 5,250 rpm. With an eight-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission and 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, it gets from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.0 seconds (a tenth slower than the its hatch counterpart) and is capable of reaching a top speed of 270 km/h.
