Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors Launches Step-Up Financing Plan
Having trouble getting a car loan from the bank? HSDM has got you covered.
Tougher car loan approval from banks has prompted Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) to come up with their own step-up financing plan, which offers a flexible loan period of up to nine years, with a maximum financing of 90%.
Calculating based on a 90% loan and a repayment period of nine years, the Kona can be owned with a monthly instalment starting from RM958, the Elantra from RM1,098, the Grand Starex from RM1,348, the Santa Fe from RM1,388 and the Sonata from RM1,548.
To sweeten the deal, HSDM is giving away a free OGAWA Smart Vogue Prime massage chair (worth RM11,999) for every purchase of any 2020 model year Hyundai vehicle.

Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has introduced its step-up financing plan, offering flexible and affordable repayment of up to nine years with 90 percent loan as part of Hyundai’s Distinctive Raya Promotion.
The Kona’s monthly instalment starts from as low as RM958, Elantra from RM1,098, Grand Starex from RM1,348, Santa Fe from RM1,388 and the Sonata from RM1,548 – all of which are based on a 90 percent loan and nine years repayment period.
According to Mr Low Yuan Lung, Managing Director of HSDM, this step-up financing scheme is introduced to allow customers to purchase a new car with a more affordable payment plan, especially in conjunction with the upcoming Raya celebration.
“The bank’s recent implementation of stricter loan approvals has resulted in tougher loan approvals. We understand the predicament of our customers, therefore we have introduced this step-up financing scheme to help lower their monthly commitments when purchasing a new car and hopefully, help them in securing a loan,” said Mr Low.
Mr Low added that this Raya is a good time to buy a new Hyundai as customers can take advantage of the step-up financing plan, while at the same time enjoy cost savings from the sales tax exemption which has been extended until 30 June.
Hyundai’s Distinctive Raya Promotion is designed to reflect HSDM’s promise to offer customers a rejuvenated experience and a distinctive value of car ownership in line with its tagline ‘Geared for Distinction.’
