Neta GT Coupe Officially Unveiled In China With 462Hp and 580Km Of Range

The Neta electric coupe we all wanted is now a reality, only in China for now though

So a while ago, we covered the Neta E and called it the electric coupe we have all been waiting for. Well, the car has now finally been officially unveiled in China but it is not called the Neta E, it is instead called the Neta GT, which I feel is a much better name and I really hope it goes on sale globally soon.

Before we get into the unveiling of this beautiful machine, let’s quickly revisit the company that built this electric coupe. Neta or Nezha in China, is a brand under the Chinese all-electric automaker, Hozon Auto, which was founded in 2014 and is manufactured by the Zhejiang Hezhong New Energy Automobile Company.

Moreover, Neta Motors was founded four years later in 2018 and the brand currently has three vehicles in its model line including two SUVs called the Neta U and V as well as a sedan called the Neta S and In 2022, Neta managed to deliver 152,073 vehicles and now it seems like the brand is set to enter the sports coupe segment.

Okay, now back to the car. The Neta GT looks almost like a traditional petrol sports coupe and even has fake air vents on the hood, which I find a bit weird for an electric vehicle (EV) but it looks good though. It also features a sloping roofline, massive air intakes in the front bumper as well as long, sharp and sleek headlights.

As with most of the new cars out of China, the Neta GT features retractable door handles since this is a trend at the moment but in the case of this electric coupe, this was a deliberate design meant to reduce drag. Overall, the car looks well proportioned and definitely looks super sporty from every angle.

On top of that, the Neta GT measures 4,715mm in length, 1,979mm in width and 1,415mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,770mm. The car uses 245/45 R19 tyres which admittedly, do seem a bit small on the car but otherwise, the design of the entire car is truly as close to perfect as can be, at least to me.

The interior of the Neta GT is just as beautiful as the exterior and features a lot of carbon trim as well as a large 17.6-inch portrait central infotainment and systems screen. The car also has a digital driver display and a three-spoke flat bottom steering wheel with the gear lever located behind the steering wheel.

The Neta GT will be available in RWD and 4WD versions with the former making 231hp and the latter version making 462hp. The battery capacity is still unknown but the car will have a maximum electric range of 580km. While the car is set for China only at the moment, I hope it goes global soon as I think many people would want it.
